Want to understand Murdoch?

Then watch this video of his contemporary, the late Kerry Packer. See what he thinks of business being hindered by legislation, his views on media ownership and even his views on limiting your tax liability.
This reminds me of the way any of us can become a media tycoon – just make sure your father has already become a media tycoon. Kerry is the son of Frank and Rupert Murdoch the son of Keith, both big cheeses in their day.
In this clip, Packer makes the obvious point, not understood apparently by his interrogators, that any sensible person minimises tax liability. In the case of a Company, there is a duty of responsibility on the part of the CEO/chairman to the shareholders to protect all of the Company's interests, and it would be a dereliction of duty to pay more tax than is legally necessary.
