To be honest, I don't lend much weight to the whims of the Sun – although it has effectively killed off Labour's chances in the next general election – such as they were. After all, it is rather sad that an Australian businessman has so much influence over public opinion and elections in the UK. The Sun may be behind the Tories this time – until it suits the interests of one powerful individual to switch once again.
Ex Australian… American now.
But to come out against the ruling party months as opposed to weeks before an election must be crushing for Labour – and for them to say anything different is ludicrous.
Good enough to fight the next election, but not good enough to win it! Failed to tell the country where the money for his lavish promises would come from. Lack of any acknowledgement that serious cuts in public spending are needed. Maybe leading the party but certainly not the country. Last throw of the dice.
